라파엘 코치가 최근에 팟캐스트에 인터뷰를 했는데 고골레프 팬분이 고골레프 부분만 올려줌

He began by discussing his coaching and he mentioned his English isn’t the best.

Raf: I have a now new skater. His name is Stephen Gogolev.
Jack: The Canadian boy. 
Raf: Yeah, the Canadian. He speaks Russian so it’s so easy. It’s so easy to work with. 
Jack: To communicate. 
Raf: Yeah. Because of he speaks Russian and it’s easy to talk. It’s easy to convince. Because you need special words, you need special time to convince people to do one or another things. So that’s easier to do it.

Skip forward to around 51:00, when Jack asks specifically about Stephen.

Jack: You talked about Stephen Gogolev, Rafael. What are your thoughts about him and his potential?
Raf: I mean, very, very good guy. Very good guy. I mean reminds me Nathan, reminds me good skaters. And only problem - he is 14. Problem will be he will grow so fast this few years. I mean, his age. You know, any boy 14, 16, grows up fast. And that will be issue. Could be - I should keep him out of injuries. As much as I can. But same time I need to make him get ready for competition. So that’s a little bit hard part. 
Jack: Right.
Raf: Anything else, no problem at all. There’s no other problem. 
Jack: So his quads now…which quads is he doing now?
Raf: Basically he does three different quads. I saw three different quads. He does three different quads, which is not bad for his age. And - but the quads are not a problem. Again, problem is at physical condition. 
Jack: Right. 
Raf: That’s the biggest problem. And, especially, he came in middle of June. Which is very late for do something about. I, whenever – They called me first time in April and I told him, “Yeah, sure I would accept you if you would come. But best for you to come in April.” But they said, “We shouldn’t - we should finish school, we should da da da…” So they couldn’t come. They came in middle of June. So there is no time to get condition - something changed in your condition and preparation. So… And season is coming right away. 
Jack: Yeah, in a few weeks. 
Raf: Yeah, that’s the hard part. And to train–
Jack: Are you going to travel with him to the Junior Grand Prix? Will you go to the Junior Grand Prix?
Raf: Yeah, some of them definitely I want to travel to see where he competes. Because I want to see how he handles all this.
Jack: Right.

Then there is a discussion on how he accepts students in which Raf mentions

Raf: But that what I was lucky they asked me to come. And really, I didn’t even think one second. I knew this boy, I liked him a lot, so I said, “Sure I will take you if you will be [?] no questions with your coach and your club and your country. I would love to work with you.” So I gave him right away green light.

Then in a response to question to how long he plans to coach as he’s 62 years old currently.

Raf: I was thinking like after Olympics maybe another few years. So I would put - if hopefully Stephen will give me time - I will put him to right track and teach him everything I know. And basically I think that’s it. And then maybe I will only mentor him. And he will have somebody who will travel with him. But I want to put him on right track. I need few years for. Maybe 2, 3. No more than that. Maybe, I would say, 3, 4, and then he’s set.
